“UNISON” refers to the state of being in perfect harmony, often used when multiple elements, individuals, or components act or function together as one unified masterpiece.

THE STUDIO

Our team of multicultural, world class designers from fields, such as interior, product and graphic design, 3D and AI artists works closely with clients to understand their vision and requirements, turning their dreams into reality.

Ana Van Gilst and Agnes Tar founded the studio in 2023. Their mutual dedication to exceptional design not only sparked their professional collaboration but also united their complementary strengths. Together, they form a dynamic partnership that continues to thrive.

Ana van Gilst brings her expertise in successfully scaling up large businesses. With customer centric focus at heart and passion for design excellence, she is strategically carving UNISON path towards global reach, ensuring the success of the organization towards UNISON mission to shape the future of luxury interior design.

Agnes Tar brings extensive experience and a unique perspective as an accomplished interior designer. Her work weaves together a deep appreciation for art, history, and tradition with a modern perspective, forming a comprehensive design philosophy centered on the user's feelings and experiences. Her professional journey includes pivotal roles at renowned design and architectural firms, such as Marcel Wanders and MVRDV. The globally recognized architecture and design practices exposed her to progressive architectural concepts and global design challenges.

DESIGN PROCESS

We provide a comprehensive range of services, guiding projects from concept to completion, spanning various sectors within the high end design market.

Every project is designed step by step, through the following phases.

CONCEPT BRIEF

As a start we want to fully understand the project requirements and objectives. The design arises from in-depth research into the territorial context in which the project is contextualized, the history behind it, and an understanding of the needs of the people who will inhabit the spaces. If applicable the identification and analysis of the customer target and marketing aspects of the project.

CONCEPT DESIGN

We identify the project’s narrative that, as a fil rouge, will follow and create the base for the design. The interior design concept includes the general arrangement GA and furniture plans to identify functions and user journey. We use mood boards and the help of the most advanced AI to explain the narrative, style, atmosphere, 3D sketches and general material intent.

SCEMATIC DESIGN

In this stage of the project, we show the client the material selection(digital), furniture design direction, finishes layout, lighting plan and elevations. The joinery and bespoke elements are identified. We imagine the atmosphere & feeling of the main spaces through 3D visuals, that give the client the idea of how all the elements designed can live together.

DETAIL DESIGN

Unison Studio develops the final drawings package, including plans, lighting and reflected ceiling plans, sections, elevations and detailed drawings of architectural & design elements, along with all the drawing notes necessary for the construction and installation of the design. In this phase, we finalize the FF&E specifications list that describes in detail all furnishings and materials to be acquired, and the schedule lists the type, finishes and placement of architectural and design elements.
